  • Condition: Vintage Guinness-Breo White Beer 1/2 pint glass. Brought back from Belfast, Northern Ireland to the States. (see below). Size approx. 5 1/2 inches tall. opening 2 1/2 inches. Bottom 2 inches. No chips, cracks. Has not been used in years. Just found in a box I had marked Danish china. Please see photos.

    Vintage Guinness- Breo White Beer 1/2 pint Glass. Circa 2000. Discontinued brand.
    Breo (pronounced bro) means "glow" in ancient Irish- was a white wheat beer. Guinness introduced it in 1998 as a contrast to the regular dark Guinness beer. It has a distinctive cloudy appearance, a white fluffy head and "a natural citrus beer
    taste
    ". It was only available in 20 Dublin, Ireland pubs. Sales were less than great and Breo was discontinued in the year 2000. (various sources)
    Don't remember how we got this glass and others from a Belfast, Northern Ireland pub - but we did and carried them back to the States. Have two for sale elsewhere on ebay. (sold two earlier). Just found this one in a box I had marked Danish china. Thought  we had two and turned out to be five in total.  Pubs can do that to a person.
