    Description

Three Union Pacific Railroad Public Timetables Oct '64, June '65, March '68
Submitted for your perusal, three Union Pacific public timetables. Offered are October 25, 1964, June 1, 1965 and March 10, 1968. These are fragments of history published during the waning days of transcontinental passenger trains. Noteworthy is the listing of the then recently combined
    City of San Francisco
    and
    City of Los Angeles.
These items are kind of the definition of "ephemera". 'An item created to be used or enjoyed for a short period of time'. Printed on cheap wood pulp newsprint, they are trying to slowly self destruct, but have been saved by pack rats and railfans. So the half century of time has taken a toll. They are however, still fit to be used and handled and referenced. The pages have 'browned' but are not brittle. Chipping is present on the page edges and some spots have been abraded. The worst damage depicted in the images. Still an interesting railroad artifact.
The sale of the book benefits the pandemic pummeled Pacific Railroad Museum operated by the Pacific Railroad Society; a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation.
After close of auction, this item will ship on the following Tuesday. Thanx for looking!
