This one is definitely for the Rowan collector/Kaffe historian.  The design was originally published in
Glorious Inspirations
in 1991.  The book showed a tiny picture of the pattern but not the completed sweater.  Ehrman kitted the lovely design but we've never found a photograph of the finished sweater.  If you have one, please let us know.  The pattern was republished showing the photograph of the original colors in
Kaffe's Pattern Library.
Our kit provides all the long discontinued Rowan wool, tweeds, silkstones, grainy silks, and wool/cotton to create a very rare pullover.  The original colors are very lovely as you can see from the photographs.  It's a classic over sizedcrew neck pullover knit in overall intarsia.  Knit from 23 shades of Vintage Rowan Yarns the jumper is a beautiful collection of cream, blues, deep greens, and golds.  Suitable for experienced knitters. The pattern can be knit in either of two sizes, medium with a finished bust/chest measurement of 47 inches and large with a finished bust/chest measurement of 55 inches.  Classic shaping but given the geometric nature of the pattern you could easily size it up or down.  We can furnish additional yarn.   The pattern calls for a tension of 24 stitches and 34 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 5 (3.75 mm) needles.  The colors would be beautiful on either a man or a woman.

he kit contains a copy of the pattern including over sized charts.  The original Ehrman chart was in poor shape so we have carefully recreated it and included both the original and our cleaned up version.  The kit has the following yarns Rowan Light Tweed in Bamboo 218, Pebble 203, Brachen 204, Champagne 202, Silver 208, and Dragonfly 228; Grainy Silks in Branch 808, Slate 804, and Crottle 807; Lightweight DK in Biscuit 104, Sage 417, Peach 20, Cream 3, Natural 84, Pinkish Beige 613, Light Olive 664; Fine Fleck Tweed in Custard 6; Wool Cotton in Sage 912, Wedgewood 923; Kid Silk in Potpourri 996 and Old Gold 989; and Silkstones in Blue Mist 832 and Eau de Nil 835.
As with all of our RareRowan kits, this pack has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home, and these vintage yarns and fabric will arrive to you in pristine condition.
