, "Cactus Patch" is a wonderful riot of color.   Knit in 15 different shades of vintage Rowan donegal lambswool tweed, this pullover is classic Kaffe.  The photographs in the magazine don't do the colors justice -- they are deeper and brighter as you can see from the photo of the actual yarn.  Suitable for experienced knitters. The pattern can be made in either of two sizes, medium with a finished chest/bust measurement of 45.5 inches, or large with a finished chest/bust measurement of 50.5 inches.   Given the geometric nature of the design you could size it down or make it bigger if you liked.  Relaxed fit with drop shoulder sleeves and striped ribbed borders.   The pattern calls for a tension of 26 stitches and 37 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 3 (3.25 mm) needles.  If you want to make a larger size we can furnish extra yarn and help you expand the chart.

Rowan Donegal Lambswool Tweed was a staple for decades.  Sadly discontinued for over a decade, collecting all the shades you need is a stiff challenge.

he kit contains a copy of the pattern  and vintage Rowan donegal lambswool tweed in the following shades:  rainforest 489, marram 472, juniper, 482, mist 466, bramble 484, oatmeal 469, leaf 481, nutmeg 470, roseberry 480, dried rose 462, mayfly 462, dragonfly 488, teal 456, cinnamon 479, and pepper 473.  Matching dye lots for all but a few shades.  Lots will not make a difference to the finished sweater given the nature of the design.  This kit was swatched by it's original owner.  The yarn has been unraveled and rewound so you have all the original yardage.
As with all of our RareRowan kits, this pack has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home, and these vintage yarns and fabric will arrive to you in pristine condition.
