    Description

Presented is a curious, Irish sterling silver spoon made in Dublin in 1995. This modern piece has an interesting handle in the form of a boat oar. This piece was most likely made for a boating or regatta club or to commemorate some nautical event. The tip of the oar is done in a textured matte finish that looks nice contrasted to the high finish of the rest of the spoon.
The back is marked with the Dublin sterling silver Hibernia and crowned harp symbols, a date letter O for the year 1995 and a maker’s mark of the initials B.C.
This piece is in mint condition. There are no flaws and no repairs.
The spoon measures 8 1/2 inches long and weighs 65 grams or 2.3 ounces.
