The Gordon Biersch Brewery
is an American brewery founded by Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch in 1988. The brewery restaurant is a chain hangout for house-brewed, German-style beer and pub food served in a casual setting.
In 1999, the brewery was sold to Craftworks which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. They closed several
Gordon Biersch Brewery restaurant locations. Today there are
only about 10 locations still open
.
