Annabel Fox was one of Rowan's early designers.  She launched her own line of knitting yarns in the early 1990's with Cascade, then dropped out of the knitting scene all together.  Recently some of her needle point designs have reemerged in Ehrman's kits.  Originally published in 1994 in the

we offer a complete vintage yarn pack to knit this wonderful cardigan.  The jacket is knit from 7 shades of long discontinued Annabel Fox yarns - Aran Donegal, Aran, and DK wool.  The design features a plaid front, a kilim inspired patterned back and seed stitch solid sleeves.  Classic Annabel Fox earth tones combine to create a great unisex design perfect for fall/winter.  Modeled on the cover of the magazine by a woman but pictured here on a man, the pattern can be made in either of two sizes with shorter sleeves on the woman's version.  Knit using a combination of intarsia and fair isle techniques.  Suitable for experienced knitters comfortable with intarsia color changes. The smaller size finishes to a 48 inch bust/chest measurement.  The larger size finishes to a 52 inch bust/chest measurement. The pattern calls for an average tension of 18 stitches and 22 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.  Given the geometric nature of the pattern it would be easy to size up to create an even larger size.

he kit contains a copy of the pattern and the following original Annabel Fox yarns.  Aran Donegal in Soot, Palazzo, and Harvest; Aran in Toffee, Chocolate, and Amber; DK wool in Ginger (used doubled).  The design also calls for 9 or 10 leather buttons which are not included.
As with all of our RareRowan kits, this pack has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home, and these vintage yarns and fabric will arrive to you in pristine condition.
