Offering for sale… a set of 8 Vintage Frosted hand painted PILSNER GLASSES (HAZEL ATLAS?) Gay 90’s Fad Barware MCM with Art Deco graphics. Each glass stands approx. 8 1/2” high…all in beautiful condition…no cracks or chips with whimsical hand painted family member photos inside a painted frame with each name. Set includes a glass dedicated to Papa, Mama, Gramps, Aunt Aggie, Uncle Bertie, Victoria, Rupert and Horace (deceased)….each with a gay 90’s Art Deco appeal. Even though the typical use would be a perfect beer glass for Lager, Ryes, Ales, Blondes, Stouts or any craft beer, these glasses are beautiful bar ware and could certainly be used to serve any cocktails, champagne, wine, lemonade or iced tea. Graphics are colorful and reminiscent of the Adam’s Family wall art with comical Victorian Illustrations. Most sets of these Mid Century Modern glasses are missing some family members…understandable for the age of these collectibles. Following some research on the collectible Pilsner glasses, information shows they were produced by Gay Fad Studios, Lancaster, OH which opened in 1945 and closed in 1962…hand painted by Fran Taylor who was known for one of few female entrepreneurs in 1945 and very popular during the Mid Century. A great addition to display in any decor be it nostalgic 50’s diner or bar ware, abstract atomic Jetson’s Space Age 60’s, funky hippie 70’s, eclectic, retro, vintage, rustic, swanky, Art Deco or country farmhouse style.
