Kawasaki F-11 250 enduro. It's the dirt
bike that's all new from the ground up.
Powerplant is a two-stroke piston port
design that delivers 22 hp at 6,500 rpm. Torque
is a healthy 18.8 ft. lbs. at six grand.
Because the engine is a narrow 12 inches,
you can really lean into a turn and squeeze
by stumps with this number. And as the entire
machine weighs only 264 pounds, it's very
quick and agile.
Transmission is a 5-speed with a new
shift mechanism. You can shift, shift and not
overshift, even in the heat of competition.
Unbreakable fenders and self-cleaning
alloy rims don't hurt in the dirt, either.
Like most of us, you probably do most of
the work on your bike. The F-l 1 is easy to
get at, easy to service. Kawasaki figures you'd
rather ride than wrestle a wrench.
Naturally, the very same things that
make the new F-l 1 a great dirt bike, make
it a great street bike.
Altogether, the F-l 1 is a couple of pretty
good bikes for the money.
